You don't need more cars.
You need more yeses.

Turn declined work into dollars on the cars already on your hoist. Live with Rachael Evans, Friday 29 May.

Most auto repair shop owners are leaving up to $400,000 a year on the cars already on their hoist.

In 2 hours, you'll work through three decisions that turn declined work into dollars.

📊

Protect the Capacity

The booking-diary decision that's costing up to $9,000 a week in uncharged labour and parts. Fix the capacity, the upsell follows.

🛡️

Lead With Safety

The six-stage call-back script that lands the work before the customer hears the dollar figure. Same car, same logbook service, three times the profit.

⚙️

Build the System

The five-piece execution framework that makes it stick — script, SOP, AI tool, benchmarks, and the 15-minute Friday review.

You will leave with the system.

The numbers most shops never calculate.

For an average-sized auto repair shop, here's what's leaking out on the cars already on your hoist. The good news — every leak has a system that closes it.

The Leak
$400,000
Annual revenue an average-sized auto repair shop is missing on the cars already on the hoist.
Decision 1 territory
The Proof
3× profit
Same car. Same logbook service. One shop makes $170 in profit. The other makes $520. The only difference is the system.
Decision 2 territory
The Benchmark
18%
Decline rate inside Engine Room shops. Most shops we work with sit above 40%. That gap is where the money lives.
Decision 3 territory

You're working flat out. The cars are coming through. The money still isn't there.

Most auto repair shop owners think the answer is more cars. So they cram the diary, push the team harder, and chase volume. The trouble is, the leak isn't at the front of the shop. It's in the call-back conversation that happens on every car already on your hoist.

In two hours, on Friday 29 May, you'll calculate the size of your own leak, and you'll leave with the system that closes it.

Why most shops miss it
1 in 4
Fewer than 1 in 4 auto repair shops build spare hours into the day for the upsell conversation. The team is flat out. The system never gets a chance to work.

Inside each decision.

You'll work through each one on your own numbers, live in the room. Every decision points at a leak. Every leak has a dollar figure attached.

Decision One

Protect the capacity that generates the yes.

The number decision you're probably making with your booking diary that's costing you up to $9,000 a week in uncharged labour and parts. When your service advisor has no room in the day to inspect properly and call back properly, the upsell dies before the customer picks up the phone.

The leak: up to $400,000 a year for an average-sized shop.
Decision Two

Lead with safety, not price.

How your service advisor reports recommendations back to your customers, and the price-and-safety mistake most shops make when trying to upsell. Lead with the dollar figure and the customer hears one number, then says no. Lead with safety and the work gets approved before the cost is mentioned.

The leak: every "no" turns into a discount you didn't need to give.
Decision Three

Build the system, not the habit.

The system your shop probably doesn't currently have, but needs to have, to hit the Gross Profit Benchmark for an auto repair shop. Telling your service advisor once doesn't stick. A system, a script, a benchmark, and a weekly review does.

The leak: a 40% decline rate when the benchmark is 18%.

Your host

Rachael Evans, The Workshop Whisperer.

Rachael has spent the last decade working with auto repair shop owners on the part of the business most coaches never touch — the numbers, the systems, and the conversations that turn the work you've already booked in into the profit you should be making.

She's the founder of The Workshop Whisperer and the architect of The Engine Room Method — the system used by hundreds of Australian and New Zealand auto repair shops to lift profit without chasing more cars.

On Friday 29 May she's running this workshop live. You'll work on your own numbers. You'll leave with the system.

What you'll walk away with in your hands.

Not theory. Not slides. The actual tools your service advisor needs to start running the system on the next car that comes through the door.

The six-stage call-back script

The exact sequence your service advisor follows on every recommendation. Safety first, price last. Word-for-word.

Your own numbers

You won't calculate ours. You'll calculate yours. Decline rate, average repair order, where the money's leaking.

The benchmark numbers

Decline rate, gross profit, ARO. What good looks like across an Australian auto repair shop, so you know what to track against.

The Recommendation Builder

A free tool that turns a messy tech note into a scripted six-stage call-back in ten seconds. Yours to keep.

The weekly review structure

The 15-minute Friday meeting that makes the system stick instead of slipping back to old habits inside three weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a recording or a live session?
Live. Rachael presents on Zoom in real time on Friday 29 May. You'll do the calculations during the session using your own numbers. A replay will be available within 24 hours if you can't attend live, but the real value is in doing the work in the room.
What if I can't make it on the day?
Register anyway. We'll send you the full replay and the workbook within 24 hours of the session. The workshop is designed for live participation, but the replay still gives you the framework, the script, and the tools.
What do I need to bring?
Three numbers from your shop: how many cars a day go through, your current decline rate (recommendations made vs approved), and your average repair order. Best estimates are fine — we'll work with what you've got. You'll receive a workbook in your confirmation email with full instructions.
What's the refund policy?
No refunds. You're paying for access to the session, the workbook, the six-stage call-back script, the Engine Room Method benchmarks, and The Recommendation Builder AI tool. All of these are yours to keep whether you attend live or watch the replay.
What's the catch with $97?
No catch. The workshop covers one of the nine accelerators inside The Engine Room Method — our flagship coaching programme. We open four spots in the May intake at the end of the session for anyone who wants to work on all nine. There's no obligation, no pressure. Most attendees take the workshop and run.
