Every diagnostic job you don't charge properly is money you worked for and gave away.
A live two-hour workshop. You'll walk out knowing exactly what your diagnostic work should earn, and how to charge it straightaway.
Without finding new customers, buying new equipment, or working longer hours.

What you walk away with
Three things,
done before you leave the workshop
You don't sit and watch. You build it, live with Rachael, on your own numbers. Bring your current labour rate and your last diagnostic job.
Set up with real rates against each one, so a logbook service and a three hour diagnosis stop going out at the same number.
Calculated on your shop's actual figures. Not a template, not a percentage someone else picked.
The words your service advisor uses the next morning, so the rate is agreed before anyone touches the car.
Here's what stops happening
You stop giving away hours of skilled diagnostic work at your standard rate, and your team follows the same system every time a diagnostic job comes through the door.

What's really happening
Right now, most auto repair shop owners are trying to fix that by:
None of it works.
So the same things keep happening.
And none of that is because you're bad at pricing.
It's because there's no step in the process where the diagnostic rate gets quoted and agreed before the car goes up.
If nothing changes, it keeps going out the door on every job, every week, without ever showing up as a line you can see.
You're probably running one labour rate for everything. Logbook services, complex repairs, diagnostics. Same rate.
But the work is not the same.
Your diagnostic rate has to be the highest. On the day, you work out what yours should be.

The whole problem, in one job
One rate for everything
$145
in profit on the job
With a diagnostic rate
$270
in profit on the job
Same car. Same tech. Same equipment. The only difference is that one of them has a diagnostic rate.
That is $125 on one job. Ten diagnostic jobs a month is $1,250 walking out the door, every month, without ever showing up as a line you can see.

Regan · Engine Room client
$50K → $110K a month
Went from $50,000 a month to averaging over $110,000. And along the way he paid off $450,000 in debt to the tax office, using the cash flow system we teach inside the Engine Room.
He did it in three years. It started with knowing what his work was actually worth.

That's what the morning of Thursday 27 August looks like.

Built for this workshop. Yours to keep, forever.
Rachael walks you through both of them live in the session, so you leave knowing how to use them. All you need is ChatGPT open on your phone or laptop. Free or paid, either works.
Hand him the job and he writes the call, in your words, using the diagnostic rate you set on the day.
Turns the process you build into a written procedure your team can follow, in minutes rather than the weekend you keep promising it.
These aren't sold anywhere. They're the same tools our Engine Room clients use, and they're not part of what you're paying for. They're yours for showing up and doing the work.

Who is Rachael Evans?
Rachael was where a lot of owners are right now. Debt mounting, the team falling apart, and no way to step back from the business without it stopping. She turned it around in eighteen months using the systems she teaches today.
The Workshop Whisperer grew out of that. A coaching company built for auto repair shop owners and nobody else, now working with shops across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the USA and Canada.
Diagnostic pricing was one of the fastest levers she pulled in her own shop. That is why it gets a workshop of its own.
She doesn't teach theory. She teaches what saved her.
Dean runs the room alongside her, the same way he does inside the Engine Room. He is Rachael's husband and business partner, he coaches Engine Room clients week in and week out, and he hosts The A Grade Auto Repair Shop Show.
They both work the numbers with you on the day. Dean also brings the part most owners find harder than the maths: saying the rate out loud, and getting the team behind it.

A $2M business at thirty

Same trade. Same hours in the day. A completely different set of numbers.

Thursday 27 August

Live. Rachael presents on Zoom on Thursday 27 August at 11:00am AEST, and you build your diagnostic pricing system in real time with her.
Book it like you'd book a car in. The replay is in the WW University within 24 hours if the day beats you. But the people who get the most out of it are in the room, because that's where the questions get answered.
Your current labour rate, your most experienced tech's hourly cost, and your last diagnostic job. The workbook comes to you after you register.
If you diagnose faults you can't quote up front, yes. It's run for general mechanical, auto electrical, European and prestige, diesel, 4WD and marine shops.
The replay lands in the WW University within 24 hours, so you keep the session and the workbook either way, and the two AI tools are yours regardless. Because of that we don't offer refunds. There's nothing you can miss out on.
Everything you get
Thursday 27 August
Right now you have two options
Quote a rough number. Hope the job doesn't run over. Knock the hours off when it does. Park the hard cars for a quiet day that never comes. And find out at the end of the year what it cost you, if you ever find out at all.
Sit down on the morning of Thursday 27 August, work out what your diagnostic work should actually earn, and walk away with the rate, the labour types and the phone script done. Then charge it on the very next job.
One job pays for it.
The gap on a single two-and-a-half-hour diagnosis is $125 in profit. The ticket is $97. You're square before the first job is off the hoist, and there's another one behind it next week.
Registration closes Wednesday 26 August at midnight. Once it closes, the doors are shut on this one.
Can't make the 27th? The replay is in the WW University within 24 hours, so the content isn't lost either way.
